In Round 10 of the 2022-23 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Panathinaikos found the second win in a row. After beating Virtus Bologna, they got a convincing 77-58 victory at home against ASVEL.
Derrick Williams had a solid performance with 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. After the game, the former Maccabi Tel Aviv forward spoke to Eurohoops.
“I’m glad we’ve got these two wins at home, that was a goal. That’s EuroLeague, we are a couple of defensive stops away from a better record. Maybe at this moment, we could have been 6-4 and not 4-6. We all know how good of a team we can be and we’re heading in the right direction”, he said.
The #2 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft talked about the team’s chemistry as well. “Once we’re healthy, we have a team that anybody can go off in any night. We have a really really talented and scoring team”, he added.
