Last night Sportski Zurnal broke the news about contacts between Crvena Zvezda and Facundo Campazzo, and Eurohoops confirmed that the 1,8 million until the end of the season offer is on the table, plus a big percentage of the 2,6M euros the player still owes to Real Madrid.
Crvena Zvezda‘s president spoke to Mozzart Sport about that matter and noted that the public would be informed if any deal is done.
“As far as Crvena Zvezda is concerned, we have been working from the beginning so that only if and when we finish some work we will announce it. I wonder why someone is in a hurry and cares more about us than we do. Our team is mainly selected from domestic players. We are in contact with ten players. Which are they? If it is finished, we will announce it,” Čović explained.
The club’s supporters started celebrating when the news appeared that Crvena Zvezda could hire the Argentine international.
“There is no reason to celebrate, nor to be sad,” Čović remained enigmatic until the end when asked if the red and whites could be reinforced with the experienced playmaker.
