Panathinaikos hosted Olimpia Milano in Round 12 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. The Greek giant, after trailing by seven points in the last quarter, managed to take the game to overtime and then won 90-77 for the fourth consecutive win.
Dwayne Bacon, who joined the team in the middle of the season, was Panathinaikos’ most important weapon throughout the match. Finishing the game with 31 points and 7 rebounds, Bacon broke his career record and scored seven points in overtime.
After the game, he talked to Eurohoops about his performance and his wish to become the best player in Europe.
“The game is slowing down for me, it’s allowing me to become the best player in Europe, I want to be the best, but it’s gonna require a lot of work“, Bacon said after the game.
Ηe also talks about the calls he didn’t get against Olympiacos and the fans of Panathinaikos.
“Basketball is big here in Greece, it is one of the reasons a came here“, he added and also commented on the fact that he didn’t get to shoot not even one free throw in the recent Greek League game against Olympiacos.
