As the head coach of Cazoo Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz Joan Pennarroya indicated, playmaker Pierria Henry might miss tomorrow’s game against Anadolu Efes in Round 13 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
The American point guard doesn’t suffer from any physical problems, but he traveled to the United States to resolve a personal matter.
His appearance is not yet fully dismissed, as he may join the team if he works everything out back home in the States, so he can directly fly to Istanbul for the game.
If Henry doesn’t make it, that would be a huge problem for Pennarroya’s team, who’ll have to face two-time defending champions that won five straight in the EuroLeague without one of their maim players.
Arturs Kuruc is also in question, as he left the field against Gran Canaria with back problems, but the first signs are pointing that his problems aren’t major.
On the other hand, Efes is expected to field the team without Shane Larkin, who recently got back on the court, just to get injured again.
Since returning to Vitoria, Henry played eight games in the EuroLeague, averaging 10,5 points and 5,8 assists. He shared MVP honors with Dwayne Bacon in the previous round, with a PIR of 28 in a win against Bayern Munich.
