Real Madrid didn’t match the offer made to Facundo Campazzo by Crvena Zvezda, the ten days deadline expired and the Spanish club lost the rights they had on the player.
Campazzo is now free to sign with the Serbian club, which has offered him contract until the summer of 2024 which included an opt out clause which can be exercised by the player for the summer of 2023.
Meanwhile the Argentinian guard still owns 2,6M euros to Real Madrid from his NBA buy out, which he is paying in instalments.
Campazzo’s total contract offer by Zvezda is 4,3M euros net (1,8+2,5) plus the Serbian club will help him with the buyout payments to Real Madrid.
The deal between the two sides is expected to be official soon and it’s the biggest contract ever in the history of Serbian basketball.
