Anadolu Efes has been playing in the 2022-23 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague without Shane Larkin since the beginning of the regular season.
The point guard, who got injured with Turkey during EuroBasket 2022, played in the domestic league in the loss against Buyukcekmece but, once again, he suffered an injury.
Now, Ergin Ataman talked about his potential return to the court. “He is in the United States for his final checks. He will come to Istanbul on Wednesday and train with the team on Thursday. We’re waiting for him to play on Friday. He will not play like the real Larkin, but with his participation, we will have our strength”, the Turkish head coach said, crossing his fingers toward the upcoming game against Panathinaikos.
Shane Larkin, who won twice in back-to-back fashion the EuroLeague with Anadolu Efes, averaged 14.7 points, 3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game in Europe last season.
