Crvena Zvezda can not yet register Facundo Campazzo for EuroLeague games, however, Achille Polonara may be on the verge to sign with the club as Serbian outlet “Sportski Zurnal” reported.
It’s not a secret that Polonara is about to leave Efes and per Eurohoops sources, there’s a very interesting offer on the table for the player for the Serbian club.
Coach Ergin Ataman recently confirmed that the Italian forward “is unhappy” and may leave the team.
Polonara has been averaging 2.9 points and 2.2 rebounds in 11.4 minutes over 14 games in EuroLeague. He was DNP in the EuroLeague game against Panathinaikos but for “tactical” reasons, per Ataman.
Still, he is a key member of the Italian national team and had a breakout season back in 2019-20, winning the Spanish league with Baskonia.
