As he announced on social media, Facundo Campazzo is staying with Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet.
He’s not registered to play in the Euroleague, due to a ban imposed on the Serbian club until February 28, but he decided to continue playing alongside fellow countryman Luca Vildoza at Belgrade only in the Adriatic League until March.
“I am staying at Crvena Zvezda! I am staying with the club, with my teammates, with our fans, and with this city. Let’s go together with new victories. Napred Crvena zvezda,” Facu wrote on Twitter.

With the Argentinian guard not registered yet in the EuroLeague, in theory, he could move elsewhere in the same competition with the deadline expiring in February, but that’s not the case.
Crvena Zvezda released a public statement, announcing that the Argentinian is staying with the club, despite many offers he received in the last six days.
“With this gesture, Facundo Campaco showed that he is not only a top basketball player but an even better man who could have chosen where he wanted to go but decided to remain a member of our club,” Crvena Zvezda stated.
The club also assures that it will continue trying to cut the ban shorter, and allow Facu to play as soon as possible.
“KK Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet continues its fight to enable Facundo Campazzo to play in the Euroleague matches before the fine imposed by the so-called “financial panel” because we consider that fine unjustifiably high and harmful to the player, Crvena Zvezda and even the Euroleague itself,” it is stated in the official statement.
