Nemanja Bjelica returned to Europe the last summer after helping the Golden State Warriors win the NBA championship, but he hasn’t played yet with Fenerbahce.
Now, as anticipated by Dimitris Itoudis, he has suffered a setback injury. “Nemanja Bjelica, who has been following the individual training and treatment program determined for him for a while and was planned to be included in team training this week, felt pain in the leg that he had previously injured during his individual training and as a result of the controls, edema was detected in the calf area”, Fenerbahce‘s official statement says.
“Our athlete follows the treatment and individual training program for the elimination of edema in this region. Nemanja Bjelica, whose condition will be evaluated daily, is planned to start team training gradually in the next week”, it added.
Nemanja Bjelica, who already played with Fener from 2013 to 2015, has averaged 9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in his whole EuroLeague career.
