Last night, a big win against Anadolu Efes, and today a new signing for Cazoo Baskonia, as they officially added playmaker Max Heidegger from Yukatel Merkezeefndi.
The Spanish team found a suitable replacement for suspended Pierria Henry and signed the 25-year-old Heidegger until the end of the 2023-24 season.
As Eurohoops reported, the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague participant paid a buyout of 120,000 euros for his services.
The American-Israel player is already in Vitoria-Gasteiz, where he has passed the medical examinations to join Baskonia and put himself under the orders of Joan Peñarroya.
Heidegger has been averaging 19,5 points and 6,3 assists on 37,5% shooting from beyond the arc in Turkish BSL.
Educated at the Californian University of Santa Barbara, he averaged 13,9 points in his four seasons before making the leap to Europe with Maccabi Tel Aviv in the 2020-21 season. Still, he was loaned to Bnei Herzliya, where he averaged 18,2 points and 2,6 assists in the Israeli Winner League.
In the 2021-22 season, he made his debut in the German Bundesliga with Ewe Basket Oldenburg, averaging 18,3 points and 4,5 assists in 27 minutes in the BBL.
