Panathinaikos announces the signing of Dimitris Agravanis for the next 2.5 years.

The former Olympiacos player started the season in Napoli, then moved to Peristeri, and now he is expected to finish the season in Panathinaikos, which is in dire need of a power forward.

Agravanis won two Greek League championship titles with Olympiacos.

As for Thomas, his addition is connected with his shooting ability. He played for Iowa State and finished his final season there (2016-2017) averaging 12.3 points on 44.5% 3-point shooting, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.

In the summer of 2017, after participating in the Summer League with the Lakers, he signed a contract with the Spanish Obradoiro. In the 2017-2018 season, he averaged 15.4 points, with a 45.9% shooting percentage from beyond 6.75m, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game.

The following season he was transferred to Valencia Basket with which he won the Eurocup having averaged 12.7 points with a 47.8% three-point shooting percentage, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists.

He finally got a chance in the NBA with a Toronto Raptors jersey, while in the middle of the 2020-2021 season, he moved to the Utah Jazz. In the 2021-2022 season, he played for the Chicago Bulls.

In 126 games in the NBA regular season, Thomas averaged 4 points and 1.2 rebounds in 9.7 minutes. His three-point shooting percentage exceeded 40%, which confirms his executive skill.

I’m just excited. I can’t wait to start working with my new teammates and my coach and to play in a top-level club in Europe like Panathinaikos, with a rich history and amazing fans,” the player told after signing. “I can’t wait to grab this great opportunity to play in the Euroleague and to live in this wonderful city called Athens.”
