Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet will face Maccabi Playtika in Tel Aviv, potentially stronger for the 27-year-old center Hassan Martin.
The US player, who injured his knee during the win against Zalgiris on December 13, will travel with the squad to Israel and will be in contention to play his first game after almost two months.
“We’ll travel with 14 players and then see who will play. Martin will join us, but it remains to be seen if he will be on the roster,” the head coach of Crvena Zvezda Dusko Ivanovic said.
Martin feels ready to help.
“I feel great, I just gotta get my lungs back a little bit, but physically I’m 100 percent, definitely ready to play,” Hassan Martin added.
Former Olympiacos big man played 13 EuroLeague games this season, averaging 5,5 points and 3,5 rebounds.
After four straight losses, Crvena Zvezda sits at No. 13 of the EuroLeague standings, with a 10-13 score.
