Panathinaikos actively participated in the initiative of the Hellenic Red Cross (E.E.S.) to collect humanitarian material for the earthquake victims of Turkey and Syria.
In particular, in the last two home matches at OAKA, against Valencia Basket (10/2) and Promethea Patras (13/2), humanitarian aid (long-lasting food, sleeping bags, blankets, and personal hygiene items) was collected in order to be sent directly to those affected by the devastating earthquake.
The response of fans was heartwarming, as was the contribution of the PAO BC Academy, who participated with particular zeal in this entire effort.
It is noted that the E.E.S., in consultation with the Turkish and Syrian Red Crescent, continues to collect long-lasting food (evaporated milk, milk powder for children, canned goods of all types, cereals, nuts, flour, pasta, etc. ), as well as sleeping bags, blankets (not used) and personal hygiene items from the following points:
Central Offices of E.E.S. 1 Lykavittou, Kolonaki
Central Warehouse E.E.S. Astrous 111-113, Kolonos (Monday to Friday, 7:30-14:30, Tel: 210 5147300).
Also, the E.E.S. is already collecting financial support for the earthquake victims of the neighboring country.
