The writings were on the wall, especially after the Final 8 of the Greek Cup, as Panathinaikos and Dejan Radonjic decided to stop their cooperation.

The official announcement is expected soon, as Radonjic who had a contract until the end of the 2023-24 season agreed to receive his full payment for this season and half his salary for next year.

Panathinaikos is on the market for a new coach, however, at this point, there’s no decision about Radonjic’s heir.

The Montenegrin coach didn’t last more than half a season in Athens, while at the start of January, he had a meeting with owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos who decided to continue supporting him.

However, with Panathinaikos already out of the EuroLeague playoffs race and in the midst of 11 straight defeats to Olympiacos, the decision to part ways with the coach and start over is not unexpected.
