EuroLeague star Tornike Shengelia will play three games in four days for Virtus Segafredo Bologna and the Georgian national team.
The experienced power forward will travel to the Netherlands on Thursday (23/02) to compete for Georgia in the last FIBA World Cup qualifying window in Almere.
After that, he will take a private charter and go to Bologna for another important Virtus – Cazoo Baskonia game in Round 25 of the EuroLeague on Friday (24/02) since the Italian team is in the playoff race.
Since Georgia needs two victories to qualify for the 2023 World Cup, Shengelia will also play against Iceland in the last qualifying game on Sunday at Tbilisi.
Toko Shengelia played 15 games for Virtus Bologna in the EuroLeague this season, averaging 10,3 points per game.
With an 11-13 score, Sergio Scariolo’s squad is in No. 12 on the EuroLeague standings, two victories behind the playoff spot.
