Olimpia Milano announced that veteran forward Gigi Datome suffered a left ankle sprain early during the team’s EuroLeague home win over Panathinaikos Athens Thursday (23/2). His condition will be reevaluated in the upcoming days.
Per Milano:
During the first quarter of the last EuroLeague game between Olimpia Milan and Panathinaikos, Gigi Datome reported a sprain to his left ankle. The player, who has already started the necessary treatments, will be re-evaluated in the next few days.
Datome, 35, has played only four games this EuroLeague season due to injury problems. He’s one of the players who’ve missed a lot of matches for Milano, along with guard Kevin Pangos and swingman Shavon Shields.
