After being cut by the Toronto Raptors on February 28, Juancho Hernangomez had the slight possibility to come back to Spain to debut in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with Real Madrid.
However, as reported by SER, the 27-year-old center who recently won EuroBasket 2022 refused the offer from Chus Mateo’s team. When March 1 arrived, the transfer market in the EuroLeague and the option for NBA teams to register players for the playoffs both closed.
With the Toronto Raptors, the former Denver Nuggets player had 2.9 points and 2.9 rebounds in 42 games, spending 14.6 minutes of playing time on the court.
Juancho Hernangomez spent three years between 2009 and 2012 growing up with Real Madrid, before joining Estudiantes and making his debut in the ACB League.
