In the latest BSL match against Pinar Karsiyaka, Fenerbahce not only lost but saw Metacan Birsen injuring himself.
“Our player Metecan Birsen suffered a left shoulder injury in the first half of the Pınar Karşıyaka match played in İzmir on Monday, March 13. During the detailed health controls of our athlete at Acıbadem Ataşehir Hospital, stage 2 injury was detected in the acromioclavicular region. Metecan Birsen’s return to the field is expected to take approximately six weeks”, the yellow-and-blue club said in an official statement.
Coming off the bench for the Dimitris Itoudis’ team, Metacan Birsen is averaging 2.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in the EuroLeague. In the BSL, he’s having 7.0 points and 5.1 rebounds.
