In the 102-74 crushing victory at home against Bayern Munich, Kostas Sloukas suffered a first-degree calf contusion.
Heading to the EuroLeague Round 29 clash against Zalgiris Kaunas, Olympiacos won’t have its experienced point guard, who recently turned 33. Before the game against the Lithuanian team, in fact, Georgios Bartzokas talked about his absence.
“Right now we don’t know if our opponent will have absences or not. We, however, will be deprived of Sloukas‘ services. As always, however, against Zalgiris we will rely on our team play”, the Greek head coach said. Olympiacos is currently 1st in the standings with a 20-8 record.
The former Fenerbahce player is averaging 11.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game with Olympiacos in this year’s EuroLeague.
