Crvena Zvezda reached its 13th victory this season in EuroLeague, stopped Baskonia at only 63 points, and showed everyone that there is no surrender until the end. Nemanja Nedović had ten days of rest due to a back injury, and against the Spanish team, he scored when it was most needed and finished the match as the most effective player of the game with 20 points, with 4/8 for three.
“I’m tired, I was a little more tired than I would have liked, but since last Monday I had only two training sessions, so my fitness was a little lacking,” admits Nedović via MozzartSport and adds:
“The concentration was there. We played good defense and kept the Euroleague’s best offense to 63 points, which is great. We look for motivation in the fact that there are still four games left, with this five. Well, let this be the first of five… That’s my motivation, we showed that we can break situations with defense, that we don’t have to have great offensive roles to win.”
Crvena Zvezda achieved an important victory to restore self-confidence.
“We have shown which way we need to go. To tear apart the defense, in the attack to know who is doing what. We were disciplined today, we didn’t have what we’ve seen lately, because we knew who was supposed to do what. And the concentration was at a high level. We talked about everything, we had meetings, we talk among ourselves… We should continue in this way. I hope that we will make these remaining four games as beautiful as possible for the fans.”
