Ongoing protests in Israel are causing problems in terms of takeoffs at airports. Virtus Bologna, which would face Maccabi Tel Aviv on the road on March 28 at 18:30 CET, should still safely land in Israel, according to both Eurohoops and Sport5.

The Italian black-and-white team, which is fighting for a playoff spot in the EuroLeague, is in continuous contact with the EuroLeague and representatives of Maccabi Tel Aviv, following the development of the protests. Promitheas, which will face Hapoel Tel Aviv in the EuroCup, has safely landed.

Virtus Bologna is currently 13th in the standings with a 13-17 record and must win in order to keep on hoping for a playoff spot. Maccabi Tel Aviv, instead, is 6th with a 17-13 record.
