Not the best of days for Virtus Bologna. Following Zalgiris Kaunas’ win against AS Monaco, the black-and-white Italian team has been mathematically excluded from the EuroLeague playoffs. Moreover, they have officially announced that Awudu Abass will be out for at least three weeks.
Injuring his thigh in the blowout loss against Maccabi Tel Aviv in Round 31, the Italian small forward won’t be playing again in the EuroLeague this season. He came back during the 2022-23 season after recovering from his ACL injury.
Virtus Bologna, ahead of the clash against Anadolu Efes, announced that Milos Teodosic, Alessandro Pajola, and Isaia Cordinier won’t be available for two weeks as well as they are continuing their rehab.
