With the 84-81 on-the-road victory against Bayern Munich, AS Monaco managed to clinch the home-court advantage in the second straight playoff appearance by the Monegasque side.
After being suspended for three games and coming back with a slack performance against Zalgiris Kaunas, the former CSKA Moscow guard provided 28 points with 6/9 from beyond the arc. In the post-game press conference, Sasa Obradovic spoke about him.
“The last period was a bit stressful for us. When he came back, it was a bit hard to integrate him back into the team. He wanted to help, but he didn’t know how to do it. Today Mike was Mike and that was the easiest for him to play, not to be overthinking. I hope this game will help him and help us in the future”, AS Monaco’s head coach talked about the American superstar.
Then, he went on to speak about Mike James’ possibility in the race for the EuroLeague Regular Season MVP. “There is clear information about this: he has been playing great this season, so he deserves it”, Sasa Obradovic added.
