The issue of the Panathinaikos coach continues to concern many, with constant reports and rumors. Spanish Encestando analyzed the situation in Efes and reported that Ergin Ataman recently met with the “greens”.
“The feeling is that a cycle will close in Efes with the expiration of Ergin Ataman’s contract and it became known that the Turkish coach was in Athens last week to meet with Panathinaikos“.
The same thing happened with a Greek publication that talked about their meeting in Belgrade.
Panathinaikos made it clear that such a thing is not true.
We remind you that the team did something similar a while ago, regarding Luka Vildoza.
Ataman also mentioned that there wasn’t any face-to-face meeting between him and Panathinaikos. “I did not have any face-to-face meetings with Panathinaikos,” Efes‘ coach said per Anadolu News Agency. “My only thoughts at the moment are the derby we will play against Fenerbahce on April 6, the other matches in the EuroLeague and the Turkish League championship, once again with Anadolu Efes. A very important game will be played for both teams on Thursday evening. We want to win the derby and carry our playoff chances to the last week.”
