Fenerbahce Beko announced that Devin Booker and Scottie Wilbekin would be out for a couple of weeks with two games left in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season.
Booker’s return is expected in around 3-4 weeks due to a knee ligament tear, while Wilbekin, who injured his left knee on March 21, will remain out of contention for the team for another 2-3 weeks.
“The condition of our athlete Scottie Wilbekin, who suffered a left knee injury in the EA7 Emporio Armani Milano match on March 21 and whose treatment was continued for two weeks, has been re-evaluated as planned. Scottie Wilbekin’s return time is expected to be 2-3 weeks.
On the other hand, our athlete Devin Booker suffered a left knee injury during the Real Madrid match played in Madrid on Wednesday, March 29. After a double week, our player’s MRI was taken at Acıbadem Ataşehir Hospital. As a result of the controls, a tear was detected in Devin Booker’s left knee lateral ligament, and it is anticipated that the return period of our player, whose treatment has been started, will be 3-4 weeks“, per an official statement.
After a couple of defeats, Fenerbahce sits at the No. 6 spot in the EuroLeague standings, with an 18-14 score, and will face Anadolu Efes in Round 33 (06/04), as the defending champions are ninth with just one win less (17-15). In the last round of the regular season, Dimitris Itoudis’s team will play against Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade (13/04).
Wilbekin averaged 11,1 points and 2,6 assists for the Istanbul team this season, while Booker had 5,8 points and 3,3 rebounds per game.
