The game between Zalgiris Kaunas and Stelmet Zielona Gora didn’t have any suprises. The hosts got the easy 67-56 win against an opponent who stayed close in the score for most of the game, but didn’t pressure Zalgiris at all.
After the first five minutes of the game Zielona Gora never had the lead and despite making just six turnovers, couldn’t get over the bad shooting percentage behind the arc with 3/18 threes. Paulius Jankunas with 16 points and 7 rebounds was the best of the winners, Mantas Kalnietis added 13 points, Oliver Hanlan had 11 points and 8 rebounds and Ian Vougioukas also scored in double digits (10 p.)
From the other side Mateusz Ponitka with 15 points and Vlad Moldoveanu with 10 were the only players who scored 10 or more points and simply put the game was over too early. Zielona Gora accepted the defeat, couldn’t react and the partial score of the fourth period was just 10-7 in favor of Zalgiris.
