According to Sports Digitale, Anadolu Efes Istanbul veteran Chris Singleton suffered a heart attack.
Shortly after the news broke out, Anadolu Efes released an official announcement regarding Singleton’s health condition.
“Coronary angiography of Chris Singleton, who is being tested today after chest pain, was found to be clean. Further examinations of our player are continuing. During this period, he will be kept under observation and the developments will be shared by our club,” per the official team press release.
The news comes after a traffic accident with team captain Bryant Dunston, Luckily, he avoided serious injury.
According to the latest medical update, the doctors issues the following statement: “We initially submitted the patient to angiography, which did not show any cardiovascular occlusion. The patient did not have a heart attack. The rest of the tests showed his condition. Then, we diagnosed the patient as having pericarditis. Pericarditis is an inflammation of the heart.
We started treatment and his body is responding great so far. He will rest for 1-2 weeks, but it will take him about a month to return to the field”.
