The precautionary measures of the EOE were the reason why yesterday (2/5) the board of directors of OAKA postponed its concession to Panathinaikos, but this last obstacle to “greening” the stadium for the next 49 years, which even a day late it was formalized after the board concluded.
The Deputy Minister of Sports, Lefteris Avgenakis, assured the Hellenic Olympic Committee that the plan to transfer fencing (and other sports) to a newly built stadium at the junction of Spyros Louis and Kymis streets, next to the Olympic Facilities and the indoor gymnasium, will be implemented.
Following this, EOE withdrew the protective measures, from the Board of Directors that took place today at noon (2/5, 14:00) and approved the concession of the indoor gymnasium to Panathinaikos for the next 49 years, a moment that is one of the most important in its glorious history.
