Thanks to an incredible buzzer-beater winning shot by Kostas Sloukas, Olympiacos managed to beat Fenerbahce 72-71 on the road in Game 3, having the opportunity to close the series and advance to the Final Four in Game 4.
Shaquielle McKissic, who contributed with 4 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals, spoke after the thrilling win over the Turkish team. “It was very tiring. Hats off to Fenerbahce, they’re an amazing team. We tried to limit them on the boards, as much as we could. When Sasha made the three I thought it was sure. Guduric got the chance and made it, but then Sloukas put us on his back the entire game”, McKissic sum up the victory to Eurohoops.
“We knew that the court was going to be active, loud, and roaring. It was one of those nights in which we needed a little bit of luck, and we got it. It’s a testament to our season, we deserve it when it’s like this. We worked really hard this year”, he said about their season. “This team isn’t about individuals. Sloukas was hot-hand the entire game and everybody put their ego aside to get this win. I’m still in disbelief”, he added.
