Vincent Poirier of Real Madrid is almost certain to miss the upcoming EuroLeague Finale Four in Kaunas. Poirier underwent appendicitis surgery in April but returned for one game against Partizan in the playoffs.
He then sustained a calf injury and he did not return to the court after Game 2 against Partizan. “It’s 99% that he will miss the Finale Four”, confirmed to the media Real Madrid’s coach Chus Mateo.
This season Poirier averages 6.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 8.2 PIR per game over 32 EuroLeague appearances.
EuroLeague Final Four will take place on May 19-21 in Kaunas. Real Madrid will face their arch-rivals Barcelona in the semifinal.
