The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four is finally open, with a press conference held in Kaunas as a tip-off for the last battles of the season.
At the opening event, coach Sarunas Jasikevicius expressed his delight for his hometown Kaunas to be the host, and after it, he spoke to Eurohoops about the pressure of fighting for the European crown.
“A lot of times journalists say pressure is a bad thing – pressure is the best thing. That means you have a chance and opportunities, and they value you. I want the biggest pressure for us,” Jasikevicius said.
Barcelona will meet Real Madrid in the Semifinal’s El Clasico (Friday, 20.00 CET), so would the Lithuanian coach rather have a chance to win the game in the final seconds with a ball in his team’s hands or defend the lead in the final possession?
“Thank God that we don’t have these choices in life,” Sarunas Jasikevicius concluded in his characteristic manner.
