The 2023 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final will be one for the record books no matter what

Real Madrid will face Olympiacos (19.00 CET) in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Finals and no matter what, history will be made.

And this includes the numbers of the Final, which will include a chance for some impressive records to be created or broken by the stars of the two finalists, while earlier Monaco and Barcelona will face each other for the 3rd place game (16.00 CET).

The season MVP Sasha Vezenkov will start the final leading the league this season in average index rating with 21.2 per game and also in scoring (17.3 per game) and defensive rebounding (5.3 per game).

Thomas Walkup leads the league this season in steals with 1.8 per game, while he is fourth this season in assists with 5.6 per game and Kostas Sloukas ranks third with 5.7.

Meanwhile, Walkup enters the championship game having recorded 73 steals this season, which is a
single-season record.

However, Sloukas‘ records are even more impressive. He is ranked sixth all-time with 4,033 index rating points. Paulius Jankunas is fifth with 4,067.

Sloukas also ranks fourth in Final Fours since 2002 in assists with 58. Theo Papaloukas is third with 59 assists, and Sergio Rodriguez of Real Madrid is second with 61 countings.

On top of that Sloukas and Sergio Llull are tied for seventh in Final Fours since 2002 in accumulated performance index rating with 162 each. Nando De Colo is sixth with 163 and David Andersen is fifth with 168.

Sloukas is tied with Ramunas Siskauskas for third place in Final Fours since 2002 with 46 free throws made each. Trajan Langdon is second with 47 free throws made and Nando De Colo is the leader with 59.

Sloukas ranks eighth in Final Fours since 2002, scoring so far 157 points. Theo Papaloukas is seventh with 164 points.

Real Madrid stars lead the way in the record books

However, the scoring leader in Final Fours since 2002 is Real Madrid’s Sergio Llull with 196 points.

Fernandez is in second place in Final Fours since 2002 with 23 steals. J.R. Holden is first with 24 steals.

Walter Tavares is tied with Kyle Hines for first place in Final Fours since 2002 with 16 blocks.

Walter Tavares enters the championship game having blocked 88 shots this season, which is a single-season record, being also the competition’s all-time leader with 372 blocks.

And last but not least, Dzanan Musa enters the championship game having made 178 free throws this season, which is a single-season record.
