“I can’t speak for all the guys in the team… Uhh, I have to choose my words carefully now”, Kevin Punter said to Mozzart Sport following the decisive win against SC Derby to advance to the ABA League semifinals.
He also talks about Real Madrid lifting the EuroLeague trophy, something which apparently doesn’t bother him. “Again, I have to be careful with my words and humble. I’m not too interested in what happened in the Final Four. Kudos to them for their victory”, he said before recalling to his thoughts following the brawl in Game 2 of their EuroLeague Playoffs series.
“I definitely thought about the series against Real Madrid and everything that happened. It really hurt, and for me, it was all personal: everyone knows why. I thought about everything for days, I couldn’t get it out of my head. Now it’s all over and that’s it. Let’s move on”, Partizan Belgrade’s 29-year-old added.
The former Olimpia Milano shooting guard followed Dante Exum, who also ironically congratulated Real Madrid to Mozzart Sport. “I didn’t watch the game. I just want to congratulate Real, a fantastic season for them. Now I’m just interested in the ABA League and how to win every game”, the former Barcelona and Utah Jazz player said.
Dante Exum also talked about the hamstring injury suffered during the fight in Game 2. “I’m still going through rehabilitation, I’m not completely ready. I’m doing everything in my power to be on the floor and play as well as possible. That’s how it is”, he added.
