Dorsey and Fenerbahce examining parting ways while Panathinaikos is waiting for him

Tyler Dorsey spent the BSL semifinals out of the active roster of Fenerbahce BEKO and Panathinaikos, which intends to create a top class roster for next season is waiting to sign the Greek-American sharp shooter.

Dorsey signed with Fenerbahce on March a deal which has him locked until 2025. However, so far he didn’t have the role he was expecting to and on the other side Fenerbahce specially after losing to Anadolu Efes in the semifinals is expected to make changes in the roster.

Per Eurohoops sources, Panathinaikos is already aware of this situation and hopes to make a deal as soon as possible for the player, who is even more valuable to the Greens due to his Greek password.

With that being said, the possibility of Olympiacos also being interested on the player can’t be excluded, since top quality Greek players are few and the domestic leagues limitation on the number of non-local players makes them a huge commodity.

Panathinaikos is expected to make huge changes in their roster and needs the presence of a talent like Dorsey much more than their arch-rivals, who had Dorsey on their team for the 2021-22 season, when they made it to the EuroLeague Final Four.

Anadolu Efes coach Ergin Ataman, who has confirmed that he is going to join Panathinaikos for next season, has already given the green light for the possible addition of Dorsey. Plus due to his Greek passport, his presence won’t affect the plans for other big name targets of the Greens in the summer market.
