This was a special game for Fenerbahce, since the team of coach Zeljko Obradovic was defeated on the road by SIG Strasbourg. It was time for revenge and the Turks got the 81-64 win.
Still playing without Kostas Sloukas, Fenerbahce got a big game by Jan Vesely who scored 20 points on 9/11 shots and also got 5 rebounds. Ekpe Udoh added 15 points and Bogdan Bogdanovic had 13 against the French team which couldn’t get answers in the front line, despite the return of Matt Howard. Vladimir Golubovic did his best with 14 points and 7 rebounds, the back court duo of Mardy Collins and Rodrigue Beaubois scored 14 points each, still Strasbourg needed something better than just 4/18 threes in order to stay in the game.
Fenerbahce was leading from wire to wire and still leads Group A with a 6-1 record. On the contrary Strasbourg is now tied on the third place with Bayern Munich at 3-4, having under them Real Madrid and Crvena Zvezda at 2-4 who face each other tomorrow.
