After landing back into the EuroLeague scene mid-way through the season to reinforce Dimitris Itoudis’ Fenerbahce, Kostas Antetokounmpo is now back in his home country, having signed a two-year deal with Panathinaikos. He will be coached by Ergin Ataman.
Spending almost seven minutes on the court with the yellow-and-blue side, Giannis’ brother averaged 2.7 points and 0.8 rebounds in 14 EuroLeague appearances in Turkey. He’s currently a member of the Greek national team and participated at EuroBasket 2022.
The 25-year-old, who was selected with the 60th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, was then traded to the Dallas Mavericks and signed two-way contracts later on with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls.
His first European experience came in the 2021-22 season when he had 5.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 0.7 blocks per game with ASVEL in the EuroLeague. Under TJ Parker, he also won the French championship.
