After losing the ACB finals to Barcelona, Real Madrid is preparing for the next season, and the first move is expected to be informing Adam Hanga that the club won’t exercise the option to keep him for another year, as Marca reports.
The experienced forward shouldn’t be worried about his future in the EuroLeague, with Bayern Munich in the mix for his services, but despite the report about Olympiacos being interested, that’s not the case according to Eurohoops sources.
Moving to Bayern seems logical since Hanga worked with coach Pablo Laso during his first season in Madrid.
The experienced forward spent the last two seasons with Los Blancos and won four titles, including the EuroLeague last May, one ACB championship (2022), and two Super Cups (2021 and 2022).
Last season, he averaged five points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 steals for an average PIR of 4.5 in the Endesa League and 4.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists for a PIR of 4.1 per game in the EuroLeague.
The Hungarian started his career in Alba Fehervar, then moved to Manresa. From 2013 to 2017, he made a name for himself in Baskonia and won the EuroLeague Best Defender award before leaving for Barcelona. He stayed for four years in Catalonia, winning the Copa del Rey three times and another ACB title.
