Keeping Shavon Shields was the main priority of Olimpia Milano and the two sides have already a deal for two more seasons, sources tell EuroHoops.
Shields was a pivotal figure in the championship series against Virtus Bologna. Shields averages 16,2 points in a 7-games series.
Injury problems prevented him from playing a bigger role in Euroleague. He played only 10 games and recorded 8.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists on average.
In comparison, Shields averaged 13 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.1 steals, 2.8 assists, and a 14.2 performance index rating in the previous season.
Shields started his European career back in 2016 when he played a season in Frankfurt Germany. Then he moved to Trento, then to Baskonia where he played for two seasons before he moved to Milano in 2020.
