Zach LeDay will be staying with Partizan Belgrade. As Moshe Barda reported and Eurohoops can confirm, the two sides are nearing a deal that will keep the American forward with the 2023 ABA League champions at least for the upcoming season.
Partizan made it official, and LeDay signed a two-year contract extension with the club.
This is quite the win for Partizan which seems to be managing to keep at least two key players of its successful 2022-23 run after also signing star guard Kevin Punter to a new deal. The Serbian side saw starting center Mathias Lessort moving to Panathinaikos Athens while guard/wing Dante Exum returned to the NBA by joining the Dallas Mavericks.
LeDay, 29, averaged 11.4 points and 5.1 rebounds in the 2022-23 EuroLeague as Partizan returned to the playoffs after 2010 and got one win away from reaching the Final Four, falling to Real Madrid 3-2 in the quarterfinals. In ABA League, LeDay had 12.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists to help Partizan win its first championship title since 2013.
