The Kaunas Zalgiris basketball club has welcomed another new addition following their agreement with Naz Mitrou-Long, signing Danielius Lavrinovicius on a 1+1 year deal.
The 24-year-old center previously played for Nevezis-Optibet Kedainiai for the past two years and began his professional career in Germany with the Artland Dragons team in Quackenbrück.
“Joining Zalgiris is a dream come true. There is no doubt that Zalgiris is the number one team in Lithuania, and every basketball player wants to play here. It’s a big step forward in my career, and I can’t wait to start working and introduce myself to the team’s fans,” the newcomer said.
Last season in the Lithuanian championship was one of the best in his career, as in nearly 23 minutes on the court Lavrinovicius averaged 10.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and a PIR of 10.4.
