Panathinaikos and Derrick Williams had only a one-year contract and have officially announced their separation.
Despite a decline in performance as the season progressed, Williams was one of the standout players for the Greens, averaging 12.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in the EuroLeague, appearing in all 34 games.
In the domestic league, the US forward averaged 5.7 points and 1.9 rebounds in 31 appearances.
The former 2nd overall pick in the NBA draft concludes his tenure with Panathinaikos, making it his fifth EuroLeague club after Bayern Munich, Fenerbahce, Valencia, and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Arturas Gudaitis also left Panathinaikos
After the US forward, Panathinaikos also parted ways with the Lithuanian center Arturas Gudaitis.
Gudaitis spent a season with the Athens club, averaging 7,5 points and 3,7 rebounds in the EuroLeague and eight points and five rebounds in the Basket League.
Panathinaikos had previously announced the departures of Paris Lee and Nate Wolters.
