Max Heidegger and Daulton Hommes won’t continue playing for Baskonia, as the Vitorian club officially announced.
Heidegger arrived at Fernando Buesa Arena last February from Merkezefendi and played 30 games for Baskonia, averaging 8.8 points and 3.6 assists in the ACB League, and 2.5 points and two assists in the EuroLeague.
Before Merkezefendi and Baskonia, the 26-year-old American-Israeli played for Maccabi Tel Aviv, Bnei Herzliya, and Oldenburg, and spent four years playing college basketball at UC Santa Barbara.
As for Hommes, he made a bigger mark joining the club last summer from the G League. He proved himself as a very good shooter, with an impressive 49% shooting percentage from beyond the arc in domestic competition.
The 26-year-old forward averaged 8.9 points in the Endesa League and seven points in the EuroLeague.
After spending two years at Western Washington and one more at Point Loma Nazarene playing college basketball, Hommes tried to find his way to the NBA through the Austin Spurs in the G League. He arrived in Europe in 2020, signing with Vanoli Cremona before going back to the G League and playing for the Birmingham Squadron, the affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans.

The 22-year-old forward began his professional career at AEK Athens and spent three seasons in the Greek capital before joining Promitheas Patras in 2021.
In the previous season (2022-23), he also represented the Greek national team in the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers, averaging 18 points and a PIR of 21 between the two games.
