Barcelona Basketball has officially announced the departure of Turkish center Sertac Sanli. After two seasons defending the Blaugrana colors, Sanli’s contract with the club expired on June 30.

Arriving from Anadolu Efes in the summer of 2021, the 31-year-old center played a total of 148 games during his time with Barcelona. This includes 73 games in the ACB League, 68 games in the Euroleague, four games in the Copa del Rey, two games in the Spanish Super Cup, and a game in the Catalan League.

In the recently concluded 2022/23 season, Sanli showcased his skills, averaging 7.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and a rating of 7.7 in 16 minutes per game in domestic competitions. Despite standing at a height of 213 centimeters, Sanli also displayed his outside shooting prowess, connecting on 40% of his three-point attempts.

Throughout his tenure, Sanli contributed to the team’s success, helping Barcelona secure titles such as the Catalan League in 2022, the Spanish Cup in 2022, and the ACB League in 2023.

As previously reported, Sanli is negotiating with Fenerbahce Beko, with a two-year deal on the table.
