With Kostas Sloukas leaving Olympiacos and Fenerbahce being a strong candidate to get him, a domino starts between the two teams. Olympiacos lost not only two-star players in Sasha Vezenkov and Sloukas but also two local players since Vezenkov has also a Greek passport.
That’s why the need for top Greek talent in the roster of the EuroLeague finalists is huge and their former player Tyler Dorsey is an obvious candidate. However, while at some point Dorsey was presented as being at the exit door of Fenerbahce with Panathinaikos monitoring his situation, Fenerbahce’s stance has totally changed with the Turkish club denying to Eurohoops any intention to part ways with Dorsey, who has a guaranteed contract with them.
On the other hand that doesn’t mean that Olympiacos will not try to get the player, who fits Bartzokas’ system and also has a Greek passport.
Meanwhile, if Sloukas is added to Fenerbahce, then another Greek national team player, Nick Calathes might end up being the odd man out and his double-nationality makes him alluring to both Greek EuroLeague clubs.
