Panathinaikos has already added Kostas Sloukas, Luca Vildoza, and Matthias Lessort and now one more big EuroLeague name is added to their wish list.
Per Israeli journalist Moshe Barda, Panathinaikos is also aiming for Nikola Mirotic.
It has to be noted that Mirotic is already in contact with Olympiacos, while he was also linked with Monaco, Partizan, Crvena Zvezda, and earlier in the summer with Milan, with coach Ettore Messina shutting down speculations.
However, there’s no other confirmation yet about a possible Panathinaikos move, other than the fact that the Greens are ready to overspend, as the record-breaking 10M euros contract of Sloukas proved beyond any doubt.
Meanwhile, Mirotic is on the market but remains bound with Barcelona. The two sides still have a contract for the next two seasons for a total of 22M euros gross and while the club has publicly admitted that they want Mirotic out, he is not released yet with the talks on the issue being ongoing.
