After parting ways with Mam Jaiteh, Virtus Bologna gets its newest starting center by signing the 26-year-old half-Jamaican and half-American Devontae Cacok, who last played in the VTB League with CSKA Moscow, until 2025.
In the 2022-23 campaign, the UNCW Seahawks’ product played between the Motor City Cruise in the G-League, averaging almost 18.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, and in the VTB with CSKA Moscow, putting up 9.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game and learning from Nikola Milutinov.
Before moving to Russia, he spent time between Los Angeles and San Antonio, playing both for the Lakers and Spurs in the NBA and for South Bay and Austin in the G-League. He will now make his debut in next year’s EuroLeague.
