After two seasons, Tamir Blatt departs ALBA Berlin as his contract expires. The German club made an official announcement regarding the decision.
The 26-year-old point guard is expected to continue his career with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
During his time with ALBA, the Israeli point guard appeared in 70 BBL and cup games, as well as 60 EuroLeague games, and won both the championship and cup titles in his first season with the team.
“We wish Tamir all the best for his next step. In his two years with us, he worked very hard to demonstrate his ability to compete in the EuroLeague. Especially last season, he proved that he is up for this challenge. We appreciate his gratitude for the trust we placed in him. We are delighted about that. Now he can continue to prove himself in his new role,” said Himar Ojeda, ALBA’s sports director.
Blatt began his professional career in 2014 with Hapoel Tel Aviv and later played for Hapoel Holon and Hapoel Jerusalem before joining ALBA in 2021. He also won three Israeli State Cups and one Israeli League Cup.
