Brian Angola will not play for Maccabi Tel Aviv. The Yellows will be forced to cancel the contract of the Colombian guard/forward after he failed to pass the additional tests for which he came to Israel this week, according to Walla Sport.
Maccabi will now look for another foreigner to complete the backline and effectively replace Darren Hilliard.
The complication in bringing in Angola (29, 1.98), who was the first new player signed by Maccabi for the upcoming season, arose a few weeks ago.
He landed in Israel shortly after finishing the season with Pinar Karsiaka in Turkey, a problem was discovered in the medical tests he fail to pass. Maccabi hoped that they would be able to solve the matter in another test session, but it turned out that this was not the case.
