On July 7, Liga ACB announced Valencia made an offer to acquire the 25-year-old Kyle Guy, who’s coming off a great season between EuroCup and the Spanish domestic league with Joventut Badalona, who had his Tanteo rights.
Now, as reported by the Catalan journalist Jordi Valle Simó, it appears that the black-and-green side won’t match Valencia‘s offer. On the other end, the EuroLeague participant should send economic compensation to Joventut Badalona to make sure the Virginia product will end up with Alex Mumbru.
Averaging 11.8 points, 2.6 assists, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.5 steals per game over 21 appearances in the 7DAYS EuroCup, he will now jump into the 2023-24 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague by staying in Spain, where he had 12.8 points, 2.1 assists, and 1.8 rebounds per game in last year’s ACB.
El Joventut recibirá una compensación económica por Kyle Guy y no igualará la oferta de Valencia Basket.
