Partizan Mozzart Bet reacted officially to Yam Madar’s decision to unilaterally terminate the contract with the club and move to Fenerbahce.
A few hours after the transfer was officially announced by the Istanbul club, the champion of the Adriatic League published a statement in which he announced further moves regarding this transfer.
“Partizan Mozzart Bet does not accept the unilateral termination of the contract by the player, Yam Madar. The club has paid all the contractual obligations towards the player, as well as the obligations towards the CAA agency with which the club has signed a contract as they represented Yam Madar. In this case, Partizan Mozzart Bet will seek justice before FIBA authorities, where we will request an urgent procedure.
The warning email from the American Agency CAA was sent from an email address that has never been used in communication with the club before. The complete mailing system of KK Partizan Mozzart Bet is located on the Microsoft server, which recognized it as “junk mail”. The Microsoft certificate is impossible to falsify and the club has official proof that the disputed mail ended up as “junk”.
At no time, neither in writing nor orally, did the player inform the club that he had changed the agency that represents him in Europe. Partizan Mozzart Bet learned about the problem for the first time when, at a meeting with the new agency represented by Misko Raznatovic, he saw a disputed email and a printed potential termination of the contract.
The most important thing in this whole situation is that the player Yam Madar was paid at the same time as all current players of KK Partizan Mozzart Bet and that not a single dollar of wages is owed to him, nor to CAA as an agency that represents the interests of players in the United States of America.
The player was convinced by the new agent that his contract was very unfavorable for him because he did not have the option of leaving for a European club, but only for the NBA. KK Partizan Mozzart Bet paid compensation in two installments to his parent club, Hapoel from Tel Aviv and signed a contract for 2+1 years with an option from the club to extend the cooperation in the summer of 2023.
At the end of the previous season, Partizan Mozzart Bet certainly planned to offer Madar an extension of cooperation under improved conditions, but the performance of the player and his agency, along with calling for a disputed termination of the contract and asking for a contract twice as large as the current one, changed everything.
This type of business of the agency with which the club has cooperated for more than 20 years, leads to the termination of the cooperation with Beobasket.
Therefore, if Fenerbahçe or any other club wants to hire our player, we are ready to listen to the offer and release him with compensation.
In the said case, we will protect ourselves with all available legal means”.
